Privacy policy

1. Who this covers

RoadmapIt provides the websites at roadmapit.ai and app.roadmapit.ai and the strategy product you sign in to use. “We” means RoadmapIt. This policy applies to visitors, people who create an account, and people invited onto a board. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, including LinkedIn and Stripe, which have their own policies.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways.

Account information. When you register or accept an invite, we store your name, email address, a hash of your password, the organization or workspace you belong to, and when you last used the product. We do not store your password itself.

Board information. Boards hold the strategy you put on them: priorities, dates, comments, and files. The product is designed so strategic content can be encrypted in your browser before it is stored. Dates and layout can remain as structure so the board can open. People see a board only to the extent you share it.

Use of the product. We record limited events needed to run the service, such as that an account was active. If you send feedback from inside the product, we store what you wrote and which account it came from so we can respond. If you subscribe, Stripe processes the payment. We receive the plan, the fact of the subscription, and a customer reference. We do not store your full card number.

3. How we use it

We use this information to:

• create and secure your account
• open, save, and share the boards you choose
• send invites, password resets, and other mail the product requires
• process a subscription when you buy one
• respond to feedback and operate the service

We do not sell personal information.

4. Who we share it with

We share information with service providers that act on our instructions: cloud hosting for the application, an email provider for messages we send, and Stripe when you pay. We share board access with the people you invite. We may disclose information if the law requires it. We do not share account or board information with advertisers.

5. Cookies

We set a cookie so you stay signed in. It is required to use the product. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on roadmapit.ai or app.roadmapit.ai. If you see a RoadmapIt advertisement on LinkedIn, LinkedIn processes that view under LinkedIn’s own policy.

6. Security

How board content is designed to be encrypted is described on our security page. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

7. How long we keep it

We keep account and board information while the account is open. You can ask us to delete the account and the boards you own. We may keep a short record of that request, and any information we must retain for payment or legal reasons.

8. Your requests

Email nilesh@roadmapit.ai to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. We will respond to that address.

9. Children

RoadmapIt is a workplace product. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. The current version is always at roadmapit.ai/privacy.
